It was just an awesome day today in Texas. Really, I should have put the air conditioning on but I opted to turn the ceiling fans on high instead. But, it was HOT!
I did this piece today. Sometimes things just go together nicely. Today was one of those days. I am always inspired by vintage reprints of children and this one is especially sweet. We did an article for one of the magazines (I think Somerset Memories--it's terrible that I can't remember but it takes them sometimes a year and a half to publish and it has been a while even since then) using these gates. I thought that I had sent them all out to the girls. But, I actually cleaned and found several that were hiding out. So, I did the bird thing again, used the gate and the vintage reprint. I like the way it turned out.

That heat! It was back today, we had 100 degrees here. But, the wind has changed to our normal southeast, so the heat has left us...for a while!
